What a difference he made! Having someone that can genuinely whip a cross in with his left boot and working himself into space constantly. Hats off to the kid, long way to go but made a big difference today!

Changed the game for us and lifted the crowd.

Makes me so angry Bruce was playing Seb out of position to accomodate Elmo earlier in the season when we had this lad on the bench, clueless tool

He looked great, we have so many more options now with MON in charge. Its obvious now to me that we need a Striker and a left back in the window.

That McLean boy looks a very very good prospect, confidence to go with his skill ......... awesome. Lets see more of that boy please. Jack Colback was very steady in the middle today knocking the ball about, well done lad.

The thing I liked was that although we were lacklustre in the 1st half, Blackburn played right into our hands BUT we never ran out of patience. We cut it pretty fine,........... but I for one was sooooooooo chuffed with the 3 pts.

Haway MON, and Haway the lads man.

Great debut. I was on that side of the ground and his touch and ability to take on a man were impressive. We have a star in the making.

Reminds me of Seamus Coleman of Everton... proving to be quite the tidy player. And a snip at 60,000 pounds.

we started playing better 2nd half when sess went to the left wing and ricco was more central but played even better when mcclean came on for me ricco is not a winger and is only slightly better in the central role. I was talking to a bloke at the game today who says he watches the reserves alot and that mcclean is class for the reserves but tends to be great 1st half and disappears 2nd half so he maybe 1 to bring on as an impact player for the time being but he does look good!!

I don't like to say "I told you so but!" The Derry wizard looked strong and confident and I think that if he keeps those kind of preformances up he could be the answer to our left hand side. Looks like he is worth every penny of that £450,000 and as all the city fans keep reminding me he is a talent with a great attitude to life and the game.

    Aye impressive start mate.
Lets hope he is as capable over 90 minutes too though.
That first whipped in ball deserved a goal on it's own.
