No . We liked Dembele at the start of the season . Did he not score a very well taken goal late in the season as well? Many of these players look decent and just need a long run in the team
QPR must join West Brom and Watford in pursuit of 14-goal striker after Kwame Poku signing: Opinion byHarry Mail ·1 July 2025 ·2 minute read QPR have raised eyebrows by signing in-demand Kwame Poku from Peterborough United recently. QPR have the chance to bring in some more signings over the next couple of months. They are preparing for another year in the Championship. The Hoops have turned to Julien Stephan as their new manager. He has been picked as their replacement for Marti Cifuentes. Stephan, who has managed Strasbourg and Rennes in the past, should now use his knowledge of the French market to boost his attacking department. One player who would be perfect for the London club is En Avant Guingamp striker Jacques Siwe. Siwe, 23, has been linked with West Brom and Watford by French news outlet L’Echo de l’Argoat. 1.FC Koln and Vitoria Guimaraes have also been mentioned as potential suitors. Stephan will want to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad. Following his appointment, he told the club website: “QPR is a historic club with strong values and passionate fans, so I feel honoured. I wanted to come here because I know there’s a lot of passion around the club and around the team, and I feel very lucky to discover that. There is something unique about English football. The intensity, the atmosphere, the passion of the fans also, the tempo of the game, the culture around the club all make it a very stimulating environment for a coach.” . QPR should target Jacques Siwe QPR could do with adding another option up top, especially if Charlie Kelman leaves. He is wanted by West Brom, as per Darren Witcoop on X. Siwe is someone who has proved he can score goals in Ligue 2 and should now test himself in England. His contract at Guingamp expires in June 2027 meaning they are under no pressure to sell him just yet unless the price is right. The Frenchman joined his current club back in 2022. Prior to his transfer, he had spells at Dijon and Annecy. He has since become a key player and they will want to keep hold of him for as long as possible. The Saint Maurice-born man has scored 16 goals in 75 games, 14 of which came in the last campaign. What now for QPR? QPR supporters are feeling excited ahead of next term. Poku’s arrival has lifted the mood and Stephan’s appointment appears to be a shrewd one. If they snapped up Siwe, he would arrive in good spirits after his impressive past season in the French second tier at Guingamp. He would also give the R’s more competition and depth in attack and something different to call upon in games. The Hoops are back in training and have some friendlies coming up as they look to get back into shape. They have upcoming clashes against the likes of Stevenage, Toulouse and Cardiff City, among others.
