    Great start to this final.

But I am hoping that a club comes along and takes Hutchinson from Ipswich. He was too good for the Championship two years ago, let alone next season.

Some amazingly good attacking football from England and just a shame they didn’t score a couple more.
Hopefully they can regroup during HT and get the next goal.

All the impetus with Germany. England players too passive for both goals.

Bless him, laughed at Elliott's joke after losing about their size diff'. I suspect Elliott said 'I'm glad I wasn't marking you".

What Savage doesn’t know about football could be written on the back of a postage stamp.

They've been taking it quite seriously apparently and have lost out on quite a bit by going out at this stage.

I was reading this morning that some players (don’t know who or what clubs) have contacted the players Union to complain about playing in such high temperatures, in the CWC.
Not sure about the ruling, but the article mentioned something about FIFA might need to cancel midday kick offs in next year’s World Cup.
I expect money and television revenue will decide that.

The heat (and humidity) is crazy, while these player are not, if these concerns are being raised. The organisers should ask themselves, would it be a surprise to see a player(s) collapse or worse?

I'm old enough to remember WC 94, the concern over the sweltering conditions, how it effected the tournament and the constant references to it in the commentary. On a lighter note; one pundit positing the diminutive Ray Houghton would be cooler than teammates, as he was "further away from the sun"
