another poor day of kookaburra cricket in the championship.....AVE of less than 5 wickets per match taken on first day. It's a real bloody shame when this is as good as it gets scheduling wise for the 4 day game

 

If were going to use a kookaburra ball in the championship we need 8 day games.

Bit meh from both teams with the bat, notable that both teams have scored at a very slow rate though, once this ball goes soft it can be a suckfest for batters and bowlers. Hard to see a result from here unless Essex go with a brave dec in their 3rd innings
