There’s a mark bellerby that runs a garage in Roker as well. My advice to my son for social media and the internet is be very careful on what you put out there because it’s forever.
He was active in the trans thread, sticking up for women's rights which men on there disagreed with. I'm not sure if that was a contributory factor in his account deletion. Lovely fella and he helped me out chatting to me when I was unwell with my mental health.
They've said before it's just one person. All they must do in life is post on the forum or google things to copy and paste on the forum. Just remembered another rant. Hetty runs a prediction league game on the forum. She's gradually booted out all the people she dislikes. If you're friends with Hank, you're not allowed to play. It's like junior school!
Been on there since about 2003 and it used to be a great forum but its very much gone down hill over the last few years and now i barely look on there - Mainly keep to the cricket forum as theres a good local cricket thread. Same names constantly popping up posting the same crap. Never been a prolific poster but the quality of stuff on there has dropped massively as the cliques have chased most of the good posters off.
He is absolutely everywhere. Clearly brings some revenue as it’s just allowed to carry on. It’s killed the forum for me because half the threads are on ignore.
Well they'll just end up with sycophants or talking to themselves. Think I'll stick with the Tuesday club and just dabble where I want too over there. You know that you are always welcome over here if you fancy a chat.
You may find this board slower paced but you will get some decent responses. It'll help that you already know quite a few posters on here.
And there lies the truth, "Why I cause arguments" He's admitted being a WUM. Hope he gets another smack.
I don't know if Roger has sold up or its a Spahn's Ranch situation where he's locked in a room and 'Hetty' comes in to give him the occasional bit nursing but his influence has completely disappeared. I'm not banned and occasionally go on there thinking I might log on and chat to old friends. Then I read some of the threads and don't bother. They've recently turned off images and links for people that don't log in so I guess I'm not the only one who can't bear to log in properly. The whole situation is so sad when I think of what an amazing site it used to be.
Theres been some crackerjack posts on there over the years - the clown forum invasion, TommyJ in the USA. The one where that lad posted the pic of his mrs absolute shocker of a sandwich - proper howling at them over the years - none recently and i think the forum has had its time sadly.
The sandwich one was class. The lad (Trevor) asking how much the bus fare was from Peterlee to Sunderland was class as well. The sandwich opening post...
I remember that feeling, laughing until tears were in my eyes, refreshing the screen every few seconds. Maybe I keep going back to get that feeling again but I haven't got close to that for years.
Same. In the early 00’s up to about 2015, it was great. Problem is, you get a few people who are the ‘characters’ who post the same boring threads, jokes etc and kill all the spontaneity. Likes of a daily footy on TV thread controlled by one poster, people saying what they are having for tea every single night. I think part of the issue is having the rankings. People post inane rubbish to get their count up to be a striker. Hours and hours of their lives wasted.
Some of the ones when cheeses of Nazareth got involved were amazing. Was it Big Sam and a fish which was really funny
The same crack has got very old. People still saying “no” when they mention their lass, “great name for a band”, that annoying sod that posts a joke on every thread…. I could go on but don't want to sound more of a misery guts . I logged out and refuse to post again, but when I do pop in to read about the Russian war, it’s just hidden twitter links to no point at all.
He was getting a canny bit of **** if iirc and he couldn’t help but chomp. I didn’t see much of Confucius either who was a very funny man.
The Gazza one when he was going to meet Moat, armed with a chicken....hilarious....couldn't stop laughing!
