I'm not saying this is true, but Romano's post sound exactly like somebody that doesn't know anything.
****ing hell, our fanbase is getting so utterly mental that there's a chunk of them pissing and moaning that we're offering Mikey Moore a new contract...
Our fanbase is getting utterly weird about anyone under the age of 25 being signed Or offered a contract, apparently
Alasdair Gold has rubbished the claims from All About Argentina that Atleti have agreed a comparatively lowball fee for Cristian Romero In other words, Simeone has done ****ed up
Lots of dodgy rumours about us signing Mohammed Kudus from the Spam. Seems rather unlikely and I'm not particularly impressed by them, either. He's a talented player, but his attitude isn't amazing and he's a liability. Should've been sent off in both games against us last season and actually managed it once. Runs well with the ball and doesn't have a bad shot, but the money he'd cost would be too much. His best position is as a right-winger and we've already got Johnson and Kulusevski there. Can cover various other roles, but we have other areas that need to be addressed.
I have a feeling Kulu will be used as a CAM going forward which means Spurs need a RW to compete with Brenaldo. With Champions League gonna need 2 good options for each position anyway.
Kudus comes across as a data-based signing given he's completed more dribbles than any other player in the last two PL seasons, plus being a left footed RW makes him ideal for Frank's system But the obvious issue is The Pornographers would stick a grossly inflated fee on him in order to say they "beat" us...which is going to result in us signing him for half that in August, as happened with Scott Parker Also worth noting his £85m release clause expires on 11th July
Kudos to me is one of those weird mercurial players where one week he’s unplayable and the next he’s anonymous. I’d be surprised if West Ham will genuinely deal with us too but stranger things have happened.
Also RE Romero, thankfully Gold has rubbished the recent rumours but the thing that’s irking me is his rumoured price tag. €55m + €10m addons? **** off. Since he joined us he’s won his second Copa América, World Cup and Europa League (in which he put in a 10/10 MOTM monster of a performance) and we paid just shy of £50m for him as it is. IF we’re forced to sell, it shouldn’t be for a penny less than £70m-£75m.
I fully agree. The thing is he only has 2 years left on his contract and if he doesn’t sign a new one then next summer his price will drop heavily. I still would rather keep him another season to see if he can be convinced to sign a new contract if things go the way we hope with Frank in charge
Takai Watch ...or read, to be more accurate https://www.shogunsoccer.com/p/shogun-soccer-scouting-13-kota-takai Interesting part is tucked away right at the end: Udinese and A German Team made offers for him this summer, so it's not the leftfield link certain members of our fanbase insist it is in order to justify paying £8 a month to use Twitter
Our interest in Kudus appears to be serious. Can't say I know too much about him as I avoid West Ham like the plague, but what I will say is the goal he scored against Freiburg in Europe was unbelievably good.
