Birmingham haven't signed him yet but are apparently in "advanced talks". They are about to sign James Beadle and Demarai Gray though, two very good signings. They also want Kieran Dowell and Ben Davies from Rangers

 

surely someone could lip read to get the scoop.

Beadle was bab last season and was replaced by a Wendies academy graduate towards the end. Be interesting if after a season at the level he gets better.

 

Just catching up on the Sergej press conference from earlier. Him and Dublin both speak very well. Some interesting bits:

• Seem quietly confident on McBurnie, strikers currently top priority
• Zambrano: 'Hopefully we'll have an update in a weeks time, maybe even sooner than that'
• Millar still 4 weeks out from joining training and even then will be no contact. We wont see him or Belloumi until after September international break. Metazo November/December
• Will spend to ffp maximum again. 6/7/8 incomings
• Sergej wants to add pace and power
• Some ticket prices will rise next season
• Interested in a couple players from Sergej past
• Dawson new job title 'head of player development'.

 

He didn't fill me with confidence when watching England U21s. Only 20 though and already has 2 season playing at championship level, he must have something about him

Depends. I’ve actually been told a couple of names by a mate of mine. Both are Bosnian midfielders. I’ve already mentioned Amir Hadžiahmetović but the other one he mentioned was Ivan Bašić.

 

He’s good with his feet probably the main thing. He’s very skinny so struggles with other aspects IMO

 

Basic looks decent on face value.

 

He's not a bad player overall and he just won the Euro U21 tournament with England. He can't be that bad as Wednesday took him on loan the season before and then again last season. Probably had a dip in form like Baxter did and then just lost out.

 

I think there is a distinction to be made. The likes of Mehlem, Allsop, Ebiowei are clearly manager identified targets who didn’t work out. As opposed to players identified by recruitment staff that are approved
