Absolutely. We can’t have this 20-25 millions top limit if we go up again. No matter how much we’ve been burnt in the past on bigger transfers but equally, we need to be realistic about what actually constitutes “bigger signings” in the championship
Spurs and Arsenal both after Eze. They'll get massive money for him. I wonder if Dibling to Palace for around £45m could develop. Seems to align with their recent recruitment strategy, albeit a bigger outlay.
Can't see us selling for 45 unless we get a huge sell on clause attached. And I'm talking at least 30%.
Yeah, i think we will be after a sell-on, especially if he goes to someone like Palace, doubt it would be 30% though. With 2 years left and him not extending, we will probably have to settle for a fee in the region of £45m-£50m.
I think we'd probably accept £45m if he wanted the move tbh. Suspect Palace would want someone closer to the finished product as an Eze replacement though.
Especially for that kind of money. Just because they have big money coming in it doesn’t mean they will meet what many consider inflated valuations Our valuation seems to be aimed towards the real top level clubs who can afford to help him reach his potential rather than expect an instant outlay
They paid £17m for Eze in the championship 5 years ago and he had never played above that level. Whilst £45m is a big jump, its 5 years on, they have much more money now and for a player that has already shown he can do it in the PL, it wouldn't be that far-fetched.
