Considering that the EPL is meant to be the best league in the world, it surprises me that a young and what appears to be a highly sought after talent, wants to go and dick around in the desert with some camels.

 

If he does go to Saudi someone mentioned before that it says more about his character than our bid.

 

I'm sure these agents are very persuasive that moves to Saudi are a good idea. In players' ears all the time, I bet.

 

This feels farking cruel.

Sunderland are considering a free transfer move for Abdoulaye Doucoure after his Everton exit, sources have told Football Insider.

The 32-year-old’s Toffees deal is up on Monday (30 June) and the Merseysiders have already confirmed he will be moving on.

Doucoure is on the list at Sunderlandfollowing their promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs last term.

The Black Cats are keen to add Premier League experience as they draw closer to agreeing high-profile deals for Habib Diarra and Reinildo.

However, Saudi Pro League clubs are also keen on Doucoure with Sunderland not yet advancing their interest in the midfielder.

Regis Le Bris’ side are keen to bolster their midfield after Jobe Bellingham‘s huge-money move to Borussia Dortmund earlier in the summer window.

 

I'd hope we are after better than him.
I'd certainly want Henderson over him.

 

Big money deals to pub league teams usually end badly. Players lose their edge as their bank accounts fill up. It's very hard to get back to high level football again.

they dont even have a ground yet! its like a massive open training ground.

 

I wouldn't rule out Bulka yet, Fabrizio and Keith have said nothing regarding NEOM. In fact Fabrizio replied to a tweet saying we had agreed a fee with nice and it was down to the player yesterday with a winky face emoji. That post said NEOM had a fee agreed too but it was the only tweet that mentioned us agreeing a fee and he took the time to reply to it

 

75% agreed! Hopefully Marcin comes here and we can wish him good luck properly. Neom doesn't even look like a proper club so probably his agent trying to get a bit more in wages from us.

Edit - I don't think we'd fall for increasing the wage on offer and have called the agent's/Bulka's bluff

 

Would be a no brainer for the squad

 

This thread is not getting used as it was set up to do
However all our rumours and banter seems to be mixed in with the other thread and gets lost

 

This thread was set up by me to be purely an opening post that I update with new links as they happen. It's being used exactly how I set it up.

People have then also been posting the news in here which is great. But the other thread has continued to be used how it was, which was my expectation

 

It’s pointless having this thread solely for sunderland and the rumours and banter if people are mixing them up with banter up on that other thread
I’m not interested in other clubs however i need to click on and find things on this thread not the other one

 

As far as I've seen, most concrete links get posted here which I thought was the point of this thread? Less concrete stuff and speculation, etc (SAFC or otherwise) goes in the other thread.
