Keep players fit and title charge on the way. A defence of the league cup would be ideal too. Keeping the first 11 fit likely to be extremely difficult with champs league however.
With the squad as it is now? 7th perhaps. It's really too early to be asking the question though, as we'll hopefully have some reinforcements arriving, the quality of which will need to be factored in to our guess work.
Way too early. If it’s the way it is now, we won’t finish top 8. There would be too many doubts from fans and players about ambition to keep it up. If the club genuinely strengthens its first XI with 2-4 excellent additions then we should aim for a brief title tilt and a top 4 finish.
Top 6 again for me, think even as it stand we have one of the best strikers in Europe/world football and a CM trio comparable to anyone else in the league and a back line with a good mix of youth & energy and experience & know how, no 10 month bans etc. to contend with. If we can add a really quality RCB and RW and steer clear of any majorly long injury lists I'd be quietly confident of top 4 but would still leave this as the insurance bet of top 6.
Bump Is anyone else getting that old feeling back? Like you just know we're heading for a long difficult season on and off the pitch? The Newcastle we all know and love? Thanks God we won something though, so it'll be easier to take imo.
Yeah I think I was the same, but I'm getting a very very bad feeling now.. I think we might mingle with relegation for a while.
