When Shelvey turns up against us playing for someone like Wrexham and bosses the midfield we’ll all kick off and say why didn’t we buy him when he was available. He maybe a **** but he’s the sort of **** we’ve been missing for ages. I’d take him for a year minimum.

I think the question was who will be the team captain on the pitch. Coyle came in for a lot of questions about his suitability for that particular role last season. Excellent Club Captain undoubtedly - but some people question whether he's a good choice for team captain on the pitch.

 

Whenever he’s on the pitch he will be, he just might not be as often

 

i think the captain has to be someone who's on the pitch more often than he isnt

My own personal opion is that Hughes should be our captain on the pitch, he has that leadership aura about him, and I think it will elevate his game even more.

 

I would agree. He was captain at Wigan also so clearly it’s not just here he’s shown that despite his age

 

probably. For all his critics on here he’s supposedly remarkably popular in the dressing room

 

Good news, Acun is arriving at Humberside Airport in about 20 mins. Should be accompanied by the new management and coaching team, ready for the start of training tomorrow.
