His original post said nothing about the same/different country though. Just that it was the worst ethnic cleansing since Hitler. I reckon Pol Pot would like a word personally.
Yeah I get where he went but I'm unsure why he's then going down that route as it wasn't his original point.
I really am not trying to be controversial here, but my first thought reading that, and it can apply to ANY war, sometimes innocent people can make stupid choices in life or choices that have dire consequences for them. It's a bit like me saying we shouldn't get involved in Ukraine, but then people could argue back, but what about when he comes for you. I thought letting Gazans back into Gaza was a crazy idea and said so openly on this forum, now lots of people have suffered the consequences of doing so...but some people get so attached to a plot of land, it takes their life and in my brain that's just crazy, but half the time I'm supposed to be the crazy one on here....and that cycle will continue for the next hundred years with all the horrific reminders of it every single day of our lives, for the rest of our lives.
I used to think as a kid, we can sort all these problems out with peace and respect, I soon learned in life as an adult, humanity has no chance and that is just sad. Even in peacetime, someone will want to own some aspect of you and you have to ask yourself, what is the end game, probably bowing to our dictators.
So is it the worst thing to happen in 80 years or just the worst thing to happen if we exclude all the things worse than that?

I hold my hands up and say I side with Israel even though you make me feel really bad now Not sure why the posters that are clearly on the other side don’t just have some balls and admit it. Then we may be able to move forward with respect, love and understanding of each other
