Fair enough, if that's where he wants to go. I don't know much about him, but personally, if a player of his age wants to go and play part time football in the desert for money, then in all honesty, he probably isn't the type a newly promoted club needs. It is going to be a very tough season, it is for every team up there never mind teams who have been out of it for a long time. We will need the right types.
To be quite honest, I don't think I'd want him near us if he has even seriously considered such an early semi-retirement.
I'm the opposite, if he turns down a huge sum of money to come here then he's the exact type of player we want. One that wants to play for the club and not just to get a better pay cheque
To be honest I don't have a problem with Bulka going to Saudi. If he chooses cash over progress that's fair enough. However a good season in the premier league with us could propel his career in the right direction. It may be that he doesn't back himself to do well and take what on the surface would appear to be the easy option.
Fascinating to see the players we're linked with now we've gone up. We've done great picking up gems on the cheap but we've clearly been researching, probably for years, what we'd do if we were to unleash the chequebook.
Absolutely this! If he goes there then he loses all respect from a football perspective. If he turns down “set for life in 6 months “ to play premier league football, then he’s exactly right for us
You can add Luis Suarez… https://x.com/safcsource/status/1939451787662020802?s=46&t=jmTq__fAAzIx0VNW2bzEsg
