    So...

Norwich play direct. Score from 3 headers. Score from 3 set pieces. Grant Holt is the focus of their attack. He bullies the small Perch and Simmo.

We show spirit as we always do. First team players put in a hard shift. We struggle against Norwich playing direct up to Holt.

Norwich win by a couple of goals and Newcastle play well but just couldn't handle the aerial threat.

Did we even need to watch that game?

What has pissed me off watching it is why do we insist on being our own worst enemy?! Why?! Dan Gosling pass was horrendous and gets sent off! And what the f*ck was James Perch doing giving away a totally needless free kick after we all witnessed Norwich scoring off 2 set pieces?!!! Why?! He played well otherwise. Why doesnt he just grab a gun and shoot himself in the foot along with his teammates. Ridiculous.

If we had Colo and Saylor we would easily have won that game.

On the positive: Shola was class. Ba was efficient. Cabaye was immense. Santon was solid. Simmo was faultless. Krul was unlucky. We are a true team. Spirit is their to be seen, we never say die and if we cut out stupid individual errors we should beat Swansea and West Brom at home.

On the negative: Obertan is possibly the most annoying player we have ever had. Raylor was abysmal in that first half, does he enjoy getting caught out in behind time and time again? Dan Gosling will now be out for 3 matches, who will play midfield now? (in fairness to him, if had more game time he might not have gave away a lazy pass and put in a tired tackle to get sent off). We gave away 2 goals which were totally avoidable. It was hard enough with half a team and the linesman gifting them a corner which was never a corner in a million years!!!

Swansea is a must win now to get back on track.

I dont care who was on the pitch we conceded 4 goals against a team who got promoted last season.

No positives for me. This is a reality check!

    Your points are invalid!

Thought the performance was gutless, pathetic and frightening to watch players like Perch, Gosling and Obertan are not fit to wear the shirt. 1 start 1 red card for Gosling for a cowards tackle, having signed for us in July 2010.

With the exception of Obertan, it's unfair to say the team effort was gutless. Quality in defence wasn't there today but everyone was putting a shift in. In the second half we managed to contain them with 10 men for a bit. That doesn't happen when you can't be arsed.

I'm with Bano on everything barring Goslings sending off being avoidable with more game time (granted it is his obsession). Move on to Swansea and pray for Colo, Willo and Tiote.

The kid was out for a season after joining us and had missed, what, half a season at Everton beforehand? Why do people feel the need to constantly get on his back? In an ideal world Gosling would have gone on loan for a few months to get game time and come back ready for the premiership. **** happens and Pardews hand was forced. Gosling has the ability to play in this league but needs time to settle. Obertan and Perch however just aren't good enough. They don't need time they need moving on. If a player can't cut it at Man U then he shouldn't be coming here. If Man Utd are looking to sell a young player then there is an issue.

i watched it on motd and I dont even think it was a sending off. Not a straight red anyway. A second yellow at worst, which would mean 1 game ban instead of 3.

How is this a "reality check" ? If we had half our injured players back we would never have conceded 4. People go on as if we'll now be getting hammered every game.

Laughable to pick on Gosling for not playing much for us as well, we signed him injured and knew how bad it was. Very silly tackle but he's what, 20? Give him time for christ's sake. He wasnt trying to be sent off either, you'd think he did it on purpose the way people go on.

This board is bordering on bipolar. If we win a game we're looking at Europe but if we lose the next week we're about to freefall.

I see your point but you've worded that terribly. Loads of players cast off by Man U are premier league regulars and do well for clubs outside the top 7.

You know when I say things, prior to when others think of them, in foreseeing potential problems...?

When I go on about Gosling not having game time....it's to avoid what he did yesterday. A lazy pass and a tired tackle. Its cost us the game you could argue.

Prevention is quicker than the cure....

Who we gonna play CM now?!

That wasnt a lack of game time, it was just a stupid tackle. He's 4th choice and we have played him a few times this season, how much more are we supposed to be playing him? Would you seriously drop Cabaye, Tiote or Guthrie to play Gosling randomly in case he needs to play suddenly?

Players get fit from regular training, not 20 minute cameos.
