Took my daughter to see Olivia Rodrigo tonight.

Not sure what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn’t a 22 year old girl who writes her own songs, actually sings, plays the piano and the guitar live, and puts on a show to 100,000 people as if she’s been doing it for decades. Not was I expecting it to be such a rock and roll show.

    Thoroughly impressed.

Guest appearance from Ed Sheeran was a nice surprise too.

He did a full hour set on the Park Stage from 6-7pm but the Beeb hacked it down to a few of songs on the BBC 2 show

He’s a really nice bloke (****ing tall…wonder if he can play in midfield) off North Hull.
I spent some time, and went out for lunch, with him recently, and have seen him live a few times. Good company and a very decent bloke in my experience.
I quite like his music too, but as you say good luck to him even if people don’t like it.

Couple of nods to Hull during The Libertines set at Glastonbury. City flag flying high in the crowd, couple of City shirts shown on TV, and my good friend, Andy Newlove, who is from Hull is currently up on the Pyramid Stage playing guitar with the band. He's their tour manager/guitar tech/and supports on guitar.

I think Rod's struggling a bit getting through this.
