Anyone else watching Glastonbury? Got Alanis Morissette on. She still ****ing hot. And also clearly still ****ing mental. I could sing every word of Jagged Little Pill without breaking sweat, iconic mid 90's album.
She was really good. Wunderhorse were very good too. As were Luv's boys The Osees. I know its an acquired taste but looking forward to Anohni and the Johnsons
The 1975 on at the minute, headlining, but they are ****e, so am looking through what's been on in the day. Will check them out.
Just clicked to watch some of the coverage and it seems like some ****e Coldplay tribute act are playing the Friday main stage at Glastonbury. Utter woke bollocks.
I'm still not sold on them. It's too nice and poppy for me. I don't get them, but then I'm a miserable old **** and I'm not their demographic, probably.
I don't think I'll be listening to albums by them but they certainly have some good songs. I agree to a point about them being a bit poppy but they seem to embrace that and then wander into a Brit Pop vibe occasionally but very little up beat or aggressive sounds from them. I like the frontman he owns that role very well.
Had to change trains at Finsbury Park and had a wait so went around for a bit and to say it’s gone downhill from a low start is an understatement. Sucky would have had a field day.
Update: at the 11th hour, the BBC have managed to secure the rights to broadcast Neil Young's set. He'll be shown live on BBC Two at 10pm.
