Other than the ego of the ringleaders and the opportunity to cry about a police state and how unfair it all is, can they not just ponce about with the PSC or one of the other million groups of permanently frothing cosplayers? Or is the point that this is the lot who do more than shout at avocados and give the same self-indulgent speech to the same people for the 100th march in a row?
