I've indulged but more out of politeness, for the mere art of being sociable. Only time I have thick cream normally is on my Christmas pudding. I just tend to find the scones a bit boring and dry, and adding cream and jam, really don't do it for me. Think I'd rather be an afternoon tea person than a cream tea one, some little triangle sandwichs and fondant cakes, actually any cake, fruit, chocolate whatever...but not scone.
That's a **** cafe you're visiting mate ... get down to Ponky's and grab a freshly baked scone that's still warm from the oven ...
The Cornish and the Devonians take this **** really seriously The same as they do with their pasty crimping, Cornish on the side, Devon on the top For the record. The Devonions have it right about the cream then jam, but having the crimp on the top of a pasty is a ******ed idea
scone, jam and clotted cream is a treat. Whatever order you put the stuff on it’s a dream. Get it in my gob!!
Why would anybody even entertain squirty cream on a scone ?!? This is defo bubblegum ice cream territory
Not a problem in Devon and Cornwall admittedly... but some areas of the country take right ****ing liberties ...
Yep that's how the story goes. The crimp was for the miners to eat their pasty and then discard the part that was dirty from their hands.
