FFS - WBA away on Boxing Day. I’ve been waiting for a Saturday afternoon WBA away game for years so I can go for a curry in the Vine - but I have a house full of relatives on Boxing Day and for years the fixture has been mid week evenings.
So Carlton Morris signing for Derby County, great signing from Luton, hope we have something in the bag shortly, not feeling positive though
Surely we’d have kept Nahki if we didn’t have someone else lined up, there’s no way we’ll manage with what we’ve got at present striker wise,
Love it. We always stop off there on our way up to and back from Warrington when we visit my sister and my dad. My British Indian mate visits West Brom a lot to visit relatives there and he has recommended some other similar ‘Desi Pub’ places to try. The Royal Oak is his favourite and about 5 minutes from the Vine. We might give that one a go next time we are in the area. The Vine would be hard to beat though…..

Not surprising but a loss to us. Hogg in particular was great when Liam was on compassionate leave. He stepped up perfectly. I wish them all the best - with the except the 2 obvious fixtures of course. Thanks guys
One thing for sure without sorting the firepower out up front we are going to struggle this season. I mean struggle big time. Wells was the only hope for goals the other strikers could not score in a brothel.
I agree with you on your comment RR and I am waiting for the bombshell news that we have signed 2 decent goal scorers to enhance our squad for the upcoming season. However if it is the intention to tackle the campaign with the up front players already at the Gate then I fear that our club could face serious issues because you only have to look at last season's stats to see that we weren't just weak in the penalty area but rather diabolical at times. I am struggling to remember the last player that BCFC signed that filled my heart with some hope because if you look at our record over the last five years or so we have hired a shed load of duds, and I expect to go down the same road this time out. For goodness sake give us a glimpse of doing what you say and get this lot to where we deserve to be based on all of the dynamics surrounding all of our positives on city size et al. I fear we may not be ready to take on the usual suspects at this game unless Lansdown steps out of his box and ups the ante prior to the season, and seeing that our first game is a carbon copy of our last horrendous outing to Bramall Lane I fear for what might be said if we flop again versus Sheff Utd. Things can change at most clubs in an instant whereas we tend to sit back and wait for the last minute sales in the bargain basement and I hate to say you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear unless you have the right coaching and improvement which at least gives you a chance of success. We'll just wait and see what comes down the pipe I guess.
