Really looking forward to next season now. Just for fun I did a little digging and there have been 18 different winners of the Championship (or League div one as it was originally called) in the last 30 years (from 94/95 season up to Leeds last season). Half of those will be playing premier league next season. In the same period in the premier league it’s 6 (and that of course includes Blackburn and Leicester). I can’t see that number changing for a while tbh.

Dyche favourite with the bookies, be interesting who they appoint. Haven’t really been looking at the rumours about players leaving/signing for them, obviously got a good side for this level so should be there or there abouts even with a point deduction

I think it is that but they've announced it today because the players are back in for pre-season on Monday and for obvious reasons it needs to be official before then.
Or how about that it is July 1st, but they know they are screwed anyway so announced it in this period so they can 'start again' next period?
