How ****ing immense is this bloke? I know sometimes he blows a bit hot and cold, but not every striker can be a Van Persie! His touches, most of the time, are ****ing class. His ball control and finishing is fantastic and he's a natural predator. I just hope that we can recover quickly from these injuries, and finish high in the table so we can keep him. Those two goals he scores yesterday are the sort of goals you'd see coming from a side that would have won that game, it's a shame our defense just couldn't do **** all. We missed Saylor even more than Colo yesterday. No one cuts out aerial threats like Saylor. Anyway, Demba Ba is definitely the bargain of the season. £0 and 11 league goals already.

If we have Colo, Williamson and Tiote back for next two games and play the way we did yesterday then 6 points should be ours. Plus Best and HBA will return aswell.
Can't believe how good he has been. I wasn't too sure about him when he signed him, but he is proving to be a quality signing. Is it just me or when everyone says we need a striker recently one steps up? Carroll did it, then Best and now Ba.
Agree with you entirely on Ba, but not on this bizarrely added throwaway comment in the middle. Ignoring the fact that I think Colo being weak in the air is a myth (I'd love to see some stats, he barely loses a header), what we needed yesterday wasn't an extra head in there, it was someone to organise the defense. We conceded four goals from four free headers, not one of them had to climb above one of our short centre halves as they were completely unmarked with Perch and Simpson standing in space on most cases. With Colo in there the team picks up properly, pushes out as a unit, and looks like a strong back 4 and not 4 individuals failing to deal with an aerial ball. Taylor would've stopped one or two if he was closest man, but Colo could've controlled his back four (plus the two big forwards) far better. Missed the captain a lot more, and hope he's back next week. Thats not to knock Taylor in any way, but much like Woodgate with Bramble, Colo makes Taylor (and Raylor) a far better defender through composure and sheer footballing intelligence.
