To be fair, climate breakdown may not be our most pressing issue, as although it will create countless numbers of human immigrants who are likely to take jobs and change our systems, there are some saying that 'AI immigrants' are what we should really be concerned about.
For example, if we allow AI to take control of our financial systems, then eventually any crashes would be not only unforeseen by humans, but would be unable to be rectified by humans either, as we simply wouldn't know what the **** was going on.
Just another layer to add in this crazy time to be alive!

Most of the North Sea is more or less dead ocean anyway. Once built and operational, 4 shift workers can maintain hundreds of them.

Maybe our Electricity bills will be adjusted accordingly but I very much doubt it...

Before Shell sold off their domestic energy customers, I received an email informing me all their generated electricity came from renewable sources. That would be 4-6 months before I received another email informing me my electric prices would increase due to the rising cost of gas.

Around that time, many of the independents went bust. Ofgen told the remaining big boys, if you take over all these accounts you may charge your existing, and new, customers £69 per annum in increased daily standing charges. We are all still paying this.

Any adjustments will only be upwards.

The climate in NZ where I am at present on average is warmer than the UK on the whole. We are in winter at present, and certainly temperatures here don't go as low as they do in winter back home.

The reason to mention this, is that I have not found anyone here that so far that has anything good to say about heat pumps. They don't appear to be that efficient here, even though as mention temperatures are not as cold as back home.
