It is sad. He did very well to keep us up these last 2 seasons against all the odds. Another terrible decision like those with Colin and Warburton.
Agreed. thought he did a marvelous job keeping us up when l was sure we were going down. Wish him well.
No tears from me. Yes he managed to get something from the squad when it really mattered but we've watched some truly turgid football and the team under-achieved for most of last season. I realise there's only so much you can do with Sam backwards-is-best Field as your midfield lynch-pin but I genuinely came away bored from many games.
Ah yes, how I fondly remember Sam's swashbuckling performances under Warburton, Beale, Critchley and Ainsworth.
He's right about how great our fans are. He won't get that at most other clubs when things aren't going well. Maybe he should have thought about that before flirting with other clubs. Interesting to see where his career goes from here.
I assume now that the club and former manager have officially parted ways we have paid him off rather than paying him to prune his begonias?
Field is a CDM and no more. He's a good one, though, Bewilderingly, when he and Varane were playing togeher, Cifuentes encouraged Field to get forward and not Varane.
