The Democrats absolutely need to figure out why Trump got elected and get their act together, or Vance could be president until 2037. So far they don't seem to have come up with much, while the Republicans clearly learned lessons from the first Trump administration and are sticking to the playbook they wrote during Biden's tenure. The clock is already ticking for the Democrats. Worrying and depressing IMO.
