Only had that particular scope for about a month...true to form the clouds Rolled in for the first few weeks lol. I also have a 10" Dob reflector, that is awesome, but I haven't used it for about 10 years and is in the shed - it takes about 30 mins to put up and another to put down and is visual only. This one is purely for astroi-maging. The moon (which btw is a right pain when it is up for deep sky imaging due to the light) hasn't been rising till after about midnight recently, but I took one recently. That whirlpool galaxy image is 91 mins of 10 second exposures, stacked. Over the last few nights I have been imaging it for about 45 mins each night and soon I'l have about 4 hours worth of photos. I'll stack them then and it will be almost Hubble like after a bit of post processing.

The moon the other night - was a quick shot.

The great globular cluster in Hercules. About 800,000 stars approx 22,000 light years away.

We found this happy looking seagull in the Colosseum this week.

The wife declared it her favourite picture of the day. Bear in mind we'd had a scorching day wandering around said arena, the forum and palatine hill taking numerous pictures....

Mine got a bit squiffy later in the day due to stopping for wine as often as was socially acceptable in between locations

My last Astro pic I promise. I have post processed the sun from yesterday. The sun isn’t actually orange but almost white, but I added an orange tint to it to make it look more what we expect. The surface detail is amazing I think.

It was a 5 second video then stacked to enhance.

Emperor dragonfly hatched from my pond. Don't usually see emperors so that's 6 different species I've seen in the garden this year plus 4 or 5 damsel fly species

I find dragonflies a nightmare to identify, partly due to differences between male and female and similarity of the species 1but also the speed at which they move .

What were the others species please ?
