Have to try something different to buck the trend of instant relegations I can accept going down if we continue to go about it our way, still think this strategy will work long term regardless so would hate us to sack it off just to sign 15 Will Hughes’ (nout against him just plucked a prem player out the air)
Probably a controversial view but I think Wilder over achieved with a very average side. There’s no one that looks like they could smash the premier league at all and I include Hamer in that. Plenty of players that could be squad players. I’m not saying we’re loaded with such players but Neil, Rigg, Mayenda, Mundle all look better suited to premier league than anyone I saw for Sheffield Utd. I honestly think our squad is better equipped to give survival a real go,
I’d agree with you there. One thing is crystal clear and gives me hope … … Enzo would never have signed for Wilder. Now that he's signed for Sunderland I believe others will follow. Players like Enzo wouldn’t want to play in teams like Sheff Utd or Luton but know they’d be coming to a team here that trusts the players and wants to play football. Wilder wants the system to dictate to the players rigidly … … RLB seems to allow the players to dictate the system to a degree. When you see how quickly our young players progress I’d say it works.
Couldn't believe I found myself arguing with other teams fans about how we were the only championship team he would have signed for. Had them telling me (not Leeds or shef utd fans by the way) that if Leeds wanted him or shef utd wanted him they could have got him ahead of us.
Doubt he would have signed for us without Le Bris? Some players and coaches just have that relationship.
.Yep. Really want to keep him here, but until an "adult" contract is signed the vultures will be looking, such is football
We seem good at sniffing this sort of value out. Trouble is I'm sure theres plenty of others who fancy a deal too.
