I’m also convinced that Trump got the hump when Starmer and other EU leaders met with Iran last week. Trump coming out with comments such as “they only want to talk to us” just pointed to his ego being bruised.
I do think it would be a bit weird targeting London as it is multicultural city, so to attack it you are attacking all nationalities and all religions. There is something like 20,000 Iranians living in London (according to google in 2021) and with those of Iranian descent that total reaches 70k, so enough to fill a football stadium. So unless they all want to **** off back to Iran, it wouldn't be the brightest idea targeting a City.
You been living in a cave for the past four decades? The **** sort of question is that meant to be? Iran is directly responsible for the rise of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, and for the propping up of the Sudan Armed Forces and the Assad government in Syria. I did the math last week. Iran has the blood of approximately 3 million people on its hands.
You could argue the same for USA. How many Iraqi’s died because of their war? How many Afghans? How many Palestinians? How many drone strikes over Pakistan and Africa etc? It’s way too simplistic to say good guys and bad guys
I'll be the first to agree that America, the UK and other Western countries are far from perfect and that they have inflicted enormous suffering on the world during the imperial/colonial era. But it is only in this bizarre climate of the self-hating West that we could possibly construe a free, liberal democracy as somehow being worse than a repressive, brutal regime basing its policies on one of the most extreme religious ideologies in human history. It's pitiful how much westerners hate themselves these days. UK up there with the worst because the country is going to ****. Zero self esteem.
Which comes back to the question I said about earlier, why didn't we attack Iran from the off, we could have saved a hell of a lot of mess and heartache. I honestly thought we were too scared or something, me not knowing Iran's capapbilities. If I had one criticism with the attack it's all a little bit too late, but better late than never. I still think Trump and Putin are in cahoots on this, absolutely wild guess that I have no foundation for suggesting, but the Iranian foreign minister is now supposely meeting the Russian leader. so I expect it to go something like this, you give me all your uranium and I'll get Trump to back off. Like I said wild!
That would be a bit strange given that almost all of Iran's nuclear infrastructure and training was provided by Russia. I think there are so many dominos connected to each other. Russia being severely weakened by the war with Ukraine massively reduced the chances of it intervening for Iran. Israel dealing with Iran's regional proxies limited if not removing entirely the threat of a multi front war. Trump, as much as everyone hates him, does seem to have tried a diplomatic approach which imo is what caused the unnecessary delays of around 3-4 months. Negotiations were fruitless and here we are.
Oh yeah I'm not knocking the attack, I was all for it, but I haven't heard Putin come out yet and condemn what the US have done, unless I've just not seen it. I expect some half hearted response later though. I hasten to add I don't want anymore attacks on Iran, they've had the slap let's now be patient and see what happens. Obviously Israel will have to respond to any rockets launched at them, but I'm talking more from a Trump perspective.
