He has made a HUGE mistake leaving this club. I doubt it will be the same for us.

What I would love now is for him to come in for Chester, Stewart and Koren and Pappa tells him to go phuck himself.

If he comes back for them and offers to double their money they'd be gone.

    Simple as that.

Don't kid yourself pal. Money talks in this game and the Modric situation is nothing like ours.

True. But we have to accept any approach and I think the top priority will be to hold onto our best players, and Papa Allam (when did we start calling him that?) will be as awkward as possible if Leicester in particular come knocking.

You're the one that's making the "know it all" statement, not me.

Some people live on a different planet.

Allam is a business man. The right offer comes in and it wouldn't matter where it came from.

Man Utd and Real fell out loads of times over the Ronaldo fiasco.

    Where did he end up?

The Modric example doesn't apply to us but Ronaldo does? :emoticon-0112-wonde

There are several examples of the player eventually going where he's expected (Ronaldo, Fabregas, etc.) but there are also many who end up staying with the 'smaller' club for ages (Gary Cahill, Modric or more at our level, Maynard).

If they offered something ridiculous we'd be daft not to accept it and we'd have the last laugh, but assuming they don't (and let's face it, there are other targets that they can gt more easily) I don't expected them to leave and certainly not to Leicester.

    There's logic.

One minute you claim that the Modric case is nothing like ours, the next minute you are comparing our situation to that of Ronaldo!!

I don't think any of our man u youngsters will be going anywhere. They're all sharing a house and enjoying life here, with a far better chance of Premier League football here than at Leicester in the immediate future.

I think it's all down to personality, which is why I agree with you.

These lads are ambitious but they have been brought up properly in the finest academy in the country.

They have a bond with each other, with the club and clearly with Nick Barmby.

They will realise they are just starting their professional career development and that needs to be managed properly. At Hull City they have stability, potential and a young team that is doing very well.

That being said the race is on. These are VERY good players that are, as I say, ambitious. If we don't match that ambition they will leave. But to Leicesteristan, no chance.

Back to the topic of the OP...

****ing brilliant to see them play out an undoubtedly boring 1-1 draw against a pretty poor team

Never liked him you know!! <whistle>

I dont see anyone bidding £80m+ for our players. You got one thing correct Papa Allam is a businessMan and for that reason alone HE WONT SELL. END OF.

Yeah you're right. None of our players would leave our club for more money, they all love it here that much.

Did you not hear what Koren said about NP leaving and that anyone would do the same?

Loyalty is rare in football, very rare indeed.

Don't disagree that at all levels in professional football money is the main driver, but Nicky Barmby would expect a say in what was going on in terms of transfers. At the moment he has a strong hand, and strengthening with every win. Should there be people leaving in January I think he would want money spent to replace them. Also, if we are still in with a good shout of promotion the Chairman may be prepared to wait in anticipation of a bigger reward should we get promoted.
