Nottingham Forest and Sunderland are considering summer moves for highly-rated Georgian defender Saba Goglichidze. The 20-year-old impressed for Empoli in Serie A last season, making 33 appearances and showcasing his strength in duels and aerial battles. Despite Empoli’s relegation, Saba Goglichidzehas drawn attention from several clubs due to his physical presence and mature defensive displays. Both Forest and Sunderland are reportedly willing to meet Empoli’s €7–8 million valuation, with the player under contract until June 2027. While Italian sides Lazio and Roma remain in the mix, the interest from English clubs adds a new dynamic to the transfer race in the 2025 summer transfer window. Sunderland see him as a potential key figure in their backline, while Forest aim to bolster depth ahead of a long campaign.
That'll stop when the bluebottles exhaust themselves and stop flying into the conservatory windows ... ... ironically you've just posted about the thread yourself, 81% Oops so have I, doh! 82% https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DgHnlajreu4?feature=share
These last few links are the sort of one's I thought we'd be getting. Deals will happen later due to playoffs. Can see next signing being 2 to 3 weeks away.
Yeah, said before the play off final we are going to be behind the curve because of it and patience would be needed. I'm totally fine with only Le Fee confirmed at the moment.
Know absolutely nothing about these lads linked today but those that watch a lot more football than me seem to rate them so that’ll do me!
We seem to be casting our net far and wide which is the only way forward in my opinion. It's interesting, to me, how so few of Sheff Utd's squad look like players we should be signing. They were supposed to be a much better team than Sunderland but they'd built a team solely to 'get promoted' imo. I'm hoping our signings are a little more targeted and not just bringing in people with no real idea how they'll all fit together. Everything about the club seems more professional, these days, so I have every faith.
I have no doubt anyone we sign will be scouted down to the nth degree, I prefer knowing nothing about the lads we sign to an extent I get go in with no prior judgments on them
My perception over the 2 league games against them was that we were the better team between the 2 of us, yes we may have lost more games than them but I'm a believer that being the bigger and successful team then the other league teams showed up more to want to beat us as we're more of a scalp for players who wouldn't have the skill or temperament to play for us.
I also love that we’re sticking to our strategy and not just spending out on high reputation players like other promoted clubs have done
