My mate in Wales as just found out one part of a trail we've doing on Friday is closed for repairs, a diversion means the distance will now be 80k

Day 1 done. Got lucky with the weather, 27° but overcast virtually all day, barring for around 30 minutes, even had some welcome drizzle. 31° now and full sun.

 

Lunch break, 15 miles down, 15 to go

2 big pulls left then a nice 6 miles flat to finish, just had a text off a mate who lives near the finish, it said they'll be 4 cold ones waiting for us in his local. It's actually muggy and drizzling here , so not too bad.
