I'm going 3-1 India, or 3-2 if weather doesn't do it's usual.....We've got to remember just how bang average we've been in red ball cricket these past few years and whilst inexperienced that India bowling attack is waaay better than ours

We won the toss and we're bowling. I'm not convinced by our bowling attack but we'll see.

who knows.....they've started well here and going along at a v good pace, the biggest enemy of English cricket (for me) is hubris and if India make a half decent first innings, that hubris and refusal to bat any other way but positively could come back to haunt us if Bumrah bowls like we know he can

Well, India's day without doubt. But, 4 more days to go anything could happen and we might even get a 5 day game! Or we see Eng's batting collapse and we lose by an innings!

Stokes getting pelters this morning for bowling first. Hindsight and all that but you do wonder if it was bazball making the decision. Having said that India were fantastic, proper test match stuff.

Bizarre decision to bowl first given the forecast changed the middle of the week. Should have batted first and taken advantage yesterday to set up pressure like Bumrah no doubt will.

England have weathered the early storm, 54-1, Bumrah off for a bit. Good work.

parity is a massive 1st innings result .....India will b v much regretting their poor fielding, we could have been rolled for 300 quite easily

We could have been looking at a healthy lead if Root hadn't played a dumb shot and Brook had shown just a touch of patience. But I know what you mean...

It's a good game this - evenly poised, but we need a couple of quick wickets this afternoon.

I went to Headingly on Saturday and it's the hottest, most energy sapping day I've ever had at cricket - and that's just sat there watching with a few beers.

Yes, it's a proper test match. India have a difficult choice to make, bat all day and a bit of tomorrow to avoid a loss, or have a go today, get 350-ish then bowl 20 mins tonight.
