Was invalidating the source of the journalist re: the Sunderland rumour

 

Will be rumours and links popping up left right and centre after this appointment and I will believe every last one of them

 

This doesn't seem to have worked

The threads are clearly separated, but the discussion about our new fella is being discussed in the general rumours thread instead of on this one, when it's perfectly obvious that it's about S.A.F.C.

The threads will remain separate, but it would help if they're used as they're supposed to be

Shouldn't this thread just be stickied, closed for comments and the original post edited as the links come in?

 

What's difficult to understand about these 2 transfer threads?
If a story is about Sunderland it goes on here, if it's general transfer rumours it goes on the other thread....surely thats simple enough.

That’s your version of how it’s to work but others, including the lad that started it, see it more as once there’s a solid SAFC’s related link in the other thread then it gets mentioned and linked in here with the OP being updated.
I’m not fussed either way to be honest as I’ll read it all.

Tbh that's mainly my fault, if we are being technical, I should have posted it in the 'off the filed operations' thread

No harm in keeping Sunderland news on here, I sometimes have a very quick check if I’m working or travelling …

… and tbh a lot of the ‘other news’ goes right over my head.

 

He looks like he could fit in quite well.

I've only seen him play in the national team but he looked really capable.

 

I'll repeat my intention for this thread was to have an opening post that gets updated with every link, with a date so people can check it to see if and when there's been a link. And that the other thread continues for discussion. Others have then said that they will also post in here any sunderland news, which is great.

But its not for me to dictate how people use the threads. All I can say is I commit to continuing to update the OP of this one.
