We can have a good guess, based on what we've done before and based on what Acun said in his Mike White interview, that I'm assuming you haven't listened to as otherwise you'd know to expect 5 first team loans. But no, I'm not privvy to the daily goings on inside the brain team. Neither are you. I just hear bits and bobs from time to time. And when they are corroborated by others, days or weeks before Baz eventually reports it then I'll trust my intuition over yours. Ta very much.
Ajayi is right footed. We have Jones, Hughes, Ajayi and Egan who are righted and Macca who is left footed. Unless we're going to play a three, it seems one to many.
I would rather keep Jones than have Ajayi or Egan if it came to it. Macca is the least reliable defensively of our centre halves imo so I would move him on ahead of any others regardless of which his strong foot is.
thats a good point jones is always available for 40 games a season ajayi seems incredibly injury prone
I wonder if the players have some resentment towards the brains trust? I imagine a player can take been told he isn’t wanted by the manager but when these ****s who have never played the game are doing it they’re going to be pissed off
Yeah and it’s one thing being replaced by someone like Hughes. I don’t know much about this Ajayi but Egan is hardly a step up and will probably be moving on elsewhere again next summer. That must piss them off.
We seem to have focused on shoring up positions where we have relative strength; a backup goalkeeper, an experienced additional centre back and a one for the future youngster in midfield. Any movement on addressing our fundamental weaknesses upfront and at full back forthcoming?
It'd have to be Jones to go for me, going in to a season with no left footed CB would be silly, Hughes thankfully is comfortable playing there but it's not something every player is comfortable doing, when I played CB I could only play left side, playing on the right was a right mind ****, throws your positioning and everything way off
