I'm pretty sure we have never had people like this running our club. I doubt many do even now. I've a mate who is die hard Sheff Wed. I've mentioned him before I think. He was into me yesterday about something else altogether, but football came up, as it always does, and it really made me think how it could have been. It's only two years and a few weeks since we beat them in that semi final. The distance between the clubs now looks to be truly vast now. Not a coincidence that one is ran like ours, and one is ran like theirs
3 years mate, but your point still stands. How far the club has come in a few years is incredible really. Not just in league position, but as a club in general. Its been just over 2 years since the Luton semi final, and they went up. They'll be 2 leagues below us next season.
There will always be SC holders who, like myself, can't always make every game. I live 180 miles from the SOL and work so might have to miss out. I know loads of exiles so it's always worth asking if you need tickets.
The season starts in the school holidays mate so there will no doubt be quite a few that can't make the first or second game. Keep an eye out ok here. Gutted I'm away for both the first and second home games, one holiday and one with work. I've already said my brother can use it though.
I will be trying to get a ticket for the first game, fingers crossed, couldn’t justify a season ticket living 500 miles away but I’ll still get to as many games as possible.
Yeah worth noting I believe they have added the feature of selling your ticket back to the club to then be resold (not fully confirmed) - So may be more than 5% of capacity tickets available on a matchday
I usually ’keep my powder dry’ and miss a few of the opening games so I can get to more later in the season … … but, after eight years, I think this will be an occasion.
Cant miss this one mate. Special moment for the club and a well deserved game for the fan base. Been posting on here for 5 years which includes some of the brutal league one days so looking forward to reading about everyone day which was hopefully topped off with a win. Been a long time coming.
I think this appointment is showing the way the club will operate going forward … … talent coming in from abroad and a modern approach.
I think we'll see a few more appointments like this over the pre season with Performance Director being one
You’ve got to be there for this one. I remember the first game when Keane brought us back to the premier league, beating Tottenham was a bonus but it was a great day anyway. This first game will be a much bigger occasion with a packed stadium and the memories of Wembley and the game against Coventry still fresh in the air. Can’t wait!
