Not heard Acun's latest chat so this is a general comment. People who speak English but not as their native language can sometimes get things wrong, when asked a question they may understand 90% and rather than seeking clarification on the bits they didn't get reply to what they think was being asked. I think it's unfair to hang onto every word Acun comes out with, same goes for managers and players too.
exactly its acuns personality some like it, some dont, but its not becausue of second language issues
I’m honestly quite surprised Acun brought up Rosenior - I thought he’d want to forget this season and move on not dwell over old mistakes. if they are still in touch I wonder how that relationship works. Especially considering the Q and A last summer. I also think it suggests he never really liked Selles.
Given that in the HDM article his actual quotes take less than a minute to read, he may have been asked about Rosenior and the question not necessarily included. I presume the interview will have been many minutes long, amazing what editing can do.
I think referencing something the physio said that had a profound impact on him, is perfectly acceptable to bring up. The fact that this pearl of wisdom was ‘you need to be on the same page as the manger’ is not. That should be a ‘no **** Sherlock’ moment, not a lightbulb one!
We need to keep Pandur for next season, sell him the one after if needs must. Changing keeper after all the turmoil won’t help us one jot!
Wonder what the figures would be re Pandur. I'd estimate he's worth somewhere between 4-6m at the moment. If we don't need to sell him and he's not pushing hard for the move, we should probably be asking for minimum 7m upwards. I fear 3.5m with add ons and he's off though.
I’m hoping that the money situation isn’t quite as bad as folks on here say. Replacing Pandur now that he’s arguably one of our best players would cost upwards of £5m. If we have to sell to balance the books, a cheap or untested option won’t cut it. Any news on McBurnie?
If we do take the £££, I feel another poll coming on for the reasons behind another dismal season. Selling Pandur will be top of the list.
A wise team would offer him more in wages and an extra year maybe with a 7/8 million pound release clause unless we get promoted.
Tbf this could be what its all about. A wise agent would push for a new deal when his player won all the previous seasons awards.
