Premier League of Sweets

I'm definitely chocolate over sweets but I'd go for the classic Jelly Babies and wine gums.

 

Milk bottles, midget gems, wine gums and the classic…

 

Liquorice might be my least favourite thing in the world.

 

Only one winner here for me....Liquorice Allsorts.
Also very partial to treacle toffees.

 

M&S used to do a pack of just the red & black ones. they stopped them

 

Was it Eric Morecambe who said get the boy jelly babies cos you got more to eat?

Agree. One of those things that leaves me puzzled as to how anybody can enjoy eating it. They say peoples tastes buds can be significantly different to one another. Licorice is the proof as far as I'm concerned.

 

My kids went nuts for some sweets we bought at Beamish. Sugar mice I think they were called. Basically just pure sugar

 

It's the people who LIKE Sambuca that I don't trust. It's not possible and they must be pretending.

 

I second this. Absolute staple classics.

Not a massive sweets kid like, missus orders massive jellies tubs off Amazon for the gaff.

 

Used to love lime fruit and liquorice, don’t think I’ve seen them in a sweetshop for forty years

 

Getting one of these in your 10-20p mix up was a treat. They were so nice i think they were 2-3p each (late 80's)

In no particular order, a few for consideration.
Licorice all sorts
Wine gums
Sherbet Dip (either with licorice or the candy stick dipper)
Fruit pastels
Chocolate covered peanuts and raisins
Rum truffles
And a boring, but stable classic. Trevor extra strong mints. Friend of the coffee/lunchtime pint drinker.
