    Sometime in early january last season Sunland were 6th with 36 points and the team in 7th were Bolton on 29 or 30 points....that 7 point gap ended up in a near relegation scrap! Not suggesting for a minute that will happen to you lot but with your injuries etc...We've said all along that it's where you are in May that counts...

    I don't see why you guys should be panicking just yet. You are currently sitting in the spot that most of you have consistently said that you'd be happy to finish. In other words, most of you would have seen your amazing start to the season just as much as a freak spell as your last run of four games (which include three losses). That's the kind of season you are going to have. I can't see that there is anything to worry about, and I would sit back and enjoy the ride, if I were a Toon fan, since it looks as though your season is going to be quite an exciting one!

    Wouldn't say it was a freak spell as we played really well to get there and thoroughly deserved it. Injuries have hit hard of late and our 3 games before Norwich (where we were playing with 4 fullbacks) were Man City , Man United and Chelsea. So with Coloccini , Williamson and Tiote hopefully returning for the Swansea game next weekend I'm confident we can start picking up points again. And with a few reinforcements in January , who knows?

    We've shown all season long that we can compete with the big boys and the Man City and Chelsea results definitely flattered them. Not saying we'll finish top 4 but a top 6 or as you said top 7 is definitely within our reach.
