Selles to Utd is a good deal for us now that Acuns confirmed we don’t pay lump sums to sack managers. We get him off the wage bill and we can draw a line. Still not convinced sacking him was 100% the right call but hopefully Jak is a step up from him. The early signings look sensible and Jak’s record is solid. UTT
The picture so far: Championship experience - sack him immediately. No Championship experience - give him 6 months then sack him. No Championship experience - give him a year and a half, watch him significantly improve the team, then sack him. No Championship experience - give him 4 months then sack him. No Championship experience - give him 6 months, watch him significantly improve the team, then sack him.
Tradesmen used to carry their tools in a sack, and they’d give the sack to the employer to look after while on the job. When they weren’t needed they’d be given the sack back to pack their tools in Apparently
Strange one for me this replacing him with Selles, I don’t like the bloke , but I’d have backed them to go up with Wilder this year , not sure what to expect from them now
Selles officially confirmed as new Sheff Utd manager then. Well, means we're not paying him anymore. I do think it's a bit of a gamble from their part, though from our perspective we might get to see whether our awful performances have been down to the manager or down to some of the team.
I wish him all the best, we probably didn’t see a selles team play vertical football the way he would like. I know we was boring at times but our squad was ****ing boring. Acun can’t keep taking goals out the team and expect exciting football with goals…..it just doesn’t work. Someone obviously rated him to give him the blunts job.
