The Semih Kilickoy link has something to it, apparently we're not the only Premier League club inquiring. (ITK)

I agree totally, it’s the nature of the game. Most of the signings we make now need to be oven ready so he will need a loan or a permanent to get more game time. He does look decent though, but our leagues are very difficult and physical.

Besiktas forward Semih Kilicsoy has reportedly drawn serious interest from newly promoted Premier League club Leeds United, which is said to be preparing an £18 million ($24.23 million) bid for the 19-year-old talent.

According to U.K. outlet TEAMtalk, Leeds—returning to the Premier League after winning the Championship with 100 points—is aiming to strengthen its squad. Under head coach Daniel Farke, the club has identified Kilicsoy as a key target, along with Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz and Union SG’s Noah Sadiki.

Diarra is talented but I prefer Le fee as a player in a deeper role and think we could target someone more premier league ready in an advanced role.

Was definite confirmation the model will change slightly to ensure we stay up first and foremost, expected but nice confirmation.

Not that it’s a surprise, but good to hear officially about all the work going on behind the scenes.
I have complete confidence that they will get us what we need to be competitive this season.

Speakman again stressed the need for Sunderland to adapt their strategy to cope with the demands of top-tier football, but insisted that the club would again be recruiting with the long term in mind. He also revealed that he had just returned from an overseas trip, in which he met with a number of potential summer recruits.

"From a club's perspective, we're not naive to what the Premier League is," Speakman said.

"We understand that our strategy to get here is going to be a different to what is required to stay here. Our objective has never just been to get to the Premier League, it's such a landmark and naturally everyone talks about that but internally over the last two, three, four years it's always been about re-establishing ourselves. So we need to do now is go on the next part of that journey, and think about establishing ourselves over the next three or four years [at Premier League level] and hopefully build to a point where he can be involved towards the top end of the league which is ultimately where we all want to be. We're trying to recruit players for that. I've spent the last three days in three different countries, speaking with players and agents. I landed back here at about 2am last night, so the work behind the scenes is up and running and has been for a number of weeks."

I wonder whether we'll see a bit of a change in shape anyway. Wouldn't surprise me at all if RLB doesn't quite replicate exactly what we've done this last season. Could well see a more orthodox midfield three with us pushing forward more from out wide. Could easily press differently too. I think the 4-4-2 out of possession worked well with some lineups but left good players isolated with others. Didn't like ELF there, and the times when Browne did that job were painful. Maybe we see more adjustments that mean we're looking for different players. We're likely to have to defend deeper, with a more solid centre and make the most of breakaway chances next season after all.
