I liked the look of Gyabi the couple of times I saw him for Plymouth but not sure he's PL ready, I wouldn't mind him being loaned out to a Championship team again this season and see how it goes from there. Sam only seems to have free kicks in his locker, surprised Sunderland are interested as Championship seems his level. Really wanted Joe to succeed here but alas it just doesn't seem to be happening for him, he will be a good acquisition for someone.

You’d have to say, looking at that, we will have a very good idea how the season is going to pan out by the end of November. Lots of fixtures in those first four months where we could be picking up crucial points. December and January look much more daunting, need a decent points haul by then.
Morning all Sunderland forum is totally dismissing the Greenwood link, apparently they might have enquired when in the Championship and lazy journalism, I wouldn't be happy if I were them if there was any truth in the rumour. It's easy to end up losing three on the bounce in the PL then heads start to drop, 29th November City away then two home games to Chelsea and Liverpool followed by Brentford, Palace, Sunderland over Christmas and Liverpool return fixture away. A tough August unless we can take maximum from Everton and a kinder looking September although two away games. March also looking kinder as we approach the end of the season. Our only chance of survival will be if Burnley and Sunderland do not get cut adrift, we need them to be taking points off whoever we drag into the dogfight, Brentford, Wolves, Everton, Bournemouth, Forest even or Palace as they have a Europe distraction
Sunderland have a lovely opening set of fixtures but a nasty end to the season, if they don't build a solid start from the off it could be tough for them
It’s a real dose of reality when you see that fixture list. Hopefully can stay out of bottom three for a few weeks and let Farke get adjusted to the higher standard before the media start heaping pressure on him. I wasn’t confident before fixtures can out and looking through them hasn’t changed my mood. Having said that the last ten games don’t look too bad so if we’re still within touching of safety going into them we’d have a great chance
looks like we start with a must win! Genuinely, i'm not sure i like how the fixtures have panned out... you earmark home fixtures against expected lower half teams as the games you need to win... after everton, we're mostly away to those teams in the first half of the season. I'd rather be playing them at home first. To have maximum chance of getting points on the board early. March, April, May fixtures look like an ideal run-in but not if you're cut adrfit by then. Either way, September/October will be telling... a run of playing sides we'd be targeting to try and finish above. We'll know if we're in the mix by then.
