Emlpoyment terminated after the seasons end review would seem more appropriate. But "Sacked" does have a certain ring to it
My heart pumps purple piss for Wilder mind. As for AI doing the recruitment, I'd hope for their sakes that they are introducing it this summer rather than in January, if the latter then they need to put AI in the same bin as Wilder. Didn't see the merit in Cannon or Walking Dead (Diaz).
He did okay really. A decent squad but club upheaval too, so 90+ points is canny. But he looked frazzled in the final and made irrational subs. That said, they need a better replacement, and that's always the hard bit. And, if they are going with a more calculated requirement method, such as us, that takes time. You need a good bloke running it, his men in place too, then some time to get players in, maybe sold on occasionally and develop from there. That's the road we've travelled, but it's not easy. The AI thing is just words. It will be just a bit quicker doing the donkey work of data.
I dont know the detail buf a sheff utd fan reckons they signed a couple and neither played a game. Wilder signed Cannon and the other older lads, I would imagine anyway. Dont get me wrong, I am not making a defence of Wilder. He was as confused as a baby racoon in the second half of that final. But from the outside looking in 90 points with some turmoil wasnt a bad haul. And they are maybe another club trying to be too clever for their own good with owners who are a bit on the clueless side? Maybe? Also, the lads I work with reckons there will be players away this summer and they may not be as strong next. Sounds like their keeper might be one.
You are probably right mate. I would argue if you need AI you are probably not as focussed in your recruitment as you should be. By the time you have identified positions, attributes, characted, value etc the pool will be narrow enough for a human to do a better job than AI, even at the sifting. Smacks of being clever for clever sake to me. Not that it bothers me too much, they can do what they want I suppose.
Yeah, I could see them losing a few. Doubt Hamer, Souza, Cooper, Ahmedhodzic will fancy another year there unless they are on brilliant deals. Also hope that we aren't looking at any of them.
Ahmedhodzic had a couple of poor years now, no doubt someone will take a risk on him but don't think h3 will have a massive market
Yeah agreed. When he first played there I thought he looked decent but as you say he's been poor last couple of seasons. I thought he was poor at the SOL and at Wembley.
the problem is that the AI is just a part of data driven recruitment, but in truth you still need the right people with the right leaders to extrapolate the information then apply that to the real world, then talk to prospective players and decide if they will fit the club, manager etc. Even then fees/wages have to be agreed and players convinced to move. there are so many moving parts and I think they have decided that a manager in the mould of Wilder does not fit this vision. however this sounds like they are having a full change of direction which will take time and if they are changing their recruitment model that will not happen in the space of 1 season it will need to be built so I suspect their fans will need to show some patience.
