I don't understand our tactics TBH. Against Kent at Canterbury we should have bowled first on a small ground. Tonight we should have batted first on a used pitch. We just seem to be reacting to previous games.
194 was always going to be way too many on this used wicket. It was clear from watching the women's game that batting wasn't easy - particularly when trying to hit square. Not a bad wicket; just not an easy one. I actually thought the women read the wicket really well. If we'd held our catches, we'd have defended 155. But it did leave me confused as to why Vince then decided to bowl first. And Surrey's international bowling attack just made things even harder.
