Rare I dont take much interest. But this one is a club tournament too far. My summer fix will be u21s and the lasses.
Is he known for penalty saves or just coincidence that my only memory of him for us is saving a pen as well?
Entertaining enough opener though not amongst the fashionable matches. End to End action, though FIFA would have been hoping for one of those 2 Messi chances to go in. Some interesting matches today. Bayern v Auckland is the 5pm kick off and that will be the most 1 sided game of the tournament. Atletico v PSG is a tasty all European game at 8pm though. I think the best game which is a shame about the time is the 11pm Palmeiras v Porto. Palmeiras are legitimately one of the strongest teams in South America full of young talent and they're mid-season which should give them a fitness advantage. Their young striker Vitor Roque is the most expensive player ever bought by a South American club when they paid €25m to bring him back to Brazil from Barcelona. They have 2 exciting young full backs too, one of which (Giay) was linked with us a couple of seasons ago when he was still in Argentina. I hope we have scouts over there watching this tournament. Seeing these players from other continents play European teams will be a valuable measuring stick of their ability.
I refused to go back to that ground after that game…until last season Sickening day under Poyet, never fancied him after that.
Likely as the wingers get the ball and realise they don’t need bother passing, as the oppo is so poor. Basing this on 4 goals by wingers and one from full back.
To be fair to Muller his Bayern swansong. But what a shambles flicked back and forth and Bayern played walking football for 10.
The soccer aid match tonight will be more entertaining and better quality than some of the teams in this.
I'd rather watch my dog molt. And I don't even have a dog. Only football can replace a corrupt cynical fraud like Sepp Blatter with an even worse wretch like Infantino.
If the winner gets £1bn or $1bn, that must distort whichever league they play in. All the more reason to set spending limits on all Premier League clubs, imagine City or Chelsea with an extra £1bn to spend. It will ruin the game.
