You make it sound as though we actually buy players for specific positions. Not sure about that. It's more a case that we sign for the future and when it comes to buying players to put in the team and play now we wait to see who is: still available is free; or costs the price of a round of drinks. If there is a player with a specific 'must have 'skill set it's that he can play anywhere apart from the midfield position he is known for. Ideally if he right footed he must be willing to play on the left and vice versa. If he's a few inches short of 5 feet he can play up front against lumbering giant defenders and win the aerial challenges.
