Went out with my older brother yesterday, we always plan on having 4 but may be 6 if its going well, ended up going too well with 8, felt groggy this morning, shouldn't have opened that red wine when I got home
first and last time drinking whiskey was one of these on a night out aged about 17 heading into the big smoke…. This isn’t really whiskey, but not a drop has passed my lips since. Only drink to make me bad and never touch another drop.
That stuff as put so many folk off whisky, mainly because they get totally rat arsed as a teen on it and its fecking rough
I knew an alcoholic who always use to drink Teachers. He tried to get me on his binges, but I was always very adamant that I was having none of it, having experienced that with another alcoholic - it's like they want you as their drinking partner, quite sad really. Didn't end well either, just dropped dead one day in the garden.
Remember as a kid all the local alcoholics drinking Bells or Teachers, not that there seemed as much choice of spirits as there is now, where vodka seems their choice. Do you remember all the empty whisky bottles lying in the hedgerows, I do
Had some of this when out today, not sure if it's the exact same one. Bit pricey where I had it £8.50 a bottle I kid you not, will clearly be a lot cheaper places... please log in to view this image
Not seen that one before, £8.50 though wow. Hope it was worth it. We're so ripped off here, a Belgian one I bought over there for 1euro50 is 4 quid here.
Yeah complete rip off price, but my lad wanted to try it, so I indulged, otherwise I'd have gone for something a lot cheaper. It was nice, had another afterwards, so it must have been lol. It tastes a lot stronger than it actually is though, I'd have said a 6.5 or 7% without looking at the bottle, but the bottle said it was only 5% which surprised me. Would I have it again, defo, would I spend that much on it again, not a chance. Probably better off buying it online without the mark up.
