It was poetic that he did leave because it created a siege mentality and gave us that fantastic season of football under Mowbray. We were pretty unlucky with injuries with Stewart and our defence otherwise we might well have gone up that season. We definitely had the belief and momentum.
Excellent post mate, many time I thought to myself "let's just stay here in the pub" but we dragged ourselves along anyway to watch absolute ****e week in and week out. It's all been worth it, makes you appreciate where we are now. My tears at wembley full time whistle were just an outpouring of sheer relief.
Probably be a good chance to upgrade the coaching and expand if if Reggie wants it. New money is a game changer. lookimg forward to seeing abdouhalli in pre season, kid looks a unit. Still would like a fourth option that can play out wide and deep too
Watching the highlights vid he is definitely a part of what has made the spirit and enthusiasm for games. We will certainly need coaches who can keep the mood high at times next season.
There’s been a few tough times but for me the biggest kick in the nuts was the home defeat to Lincoln. Freezing cold night in February, Chris Maguire scored a hat trick, having to wear a Covid mask, queuing for the park and ride bus after the game,100+ mile journey home and got home after midnight.
I’m not sure we can charge 10million for an out of work former Wolves manager mate. I like your thinking though
Aye. One thing losing Cunha and Ait-Nouri, but gaffer has done insane there and they’ve lost people like Dawson as well who I guarantee was a massive influence when it got tough. They could easily be one to plummet.
Aye. Fingers crossed those and Brentford are added to the mix at the bottom. Not that it will concern us mind.
