Not seeking argument, more a personal opinion but I'm a great believer in live and let live.. I've been with family members at the end of their lives who wanted a cig and so did I As a visitor.
I’ve started to wonder if I’m an alcoholic I drink socially, pretty much every weekend. And I love going out to bars, clubs, gigs, festivals and getting absolutely smashed, I’m not really a big pub drinker only a handful of times across the year. I do crave alcohol on a Friday or Saturday night, it’s weird. Don’t really care the other days of the week but by the time the weekend rolls around it’s almost like that hollow feeling when you want a cig when I used to smoke. I also just love good beer which doesn’t help, and I spend far too much on fancy expensive craft beers. In fact I’m about to crack open a 330ml can of 13% caramel biscuit cheesecake imperial stout that cost me £8 as I write this
More than fair enough Ric. Just wish a bit more thought had gone towards other people( including me ) at the time. I would never question a dying person’s wish.
I can't remember the last time I saw some corduroy. I'll be going to google products shortly. I wore a pair of cords in the 70s with no shame (I was young) but by the time Jumbo cords became fashionable in the 80s, I wouldn't be seen dead in it. Definitely something that doesn't need a revival.
If it's not affecting your health, your family or your income, I wouldn't worry about it - enjoy it. Make changes when and if you need to.
You are only here once, if you can’t enjoy your time here while you are here what is the point, you can’t take it with you and I doubt you will get the chance where ever you go once you move on from here to do or try any of it. Now syd will come on and ask how I know we won’t get a chance when we move on .
The difference between an alcoholic and a boozer, is that us boozer's don't have to go to those meetings.
It was nice. People happily spend £25 on a nice bottle of wine so. And I actually bought a whole box of 24 different flavours. Vault City brewery from Edinburgh. Highly recommend please log in to view this image
Lois cord jeans are very popular, there’s a lot of cord overshirts around as well (at least there were before the sun came out).
To be fair, when I googled it earlier I came across the Lois ones and the tight blue ones looked okay. My prejudice probably comes from 70s "styles" and 80s townie jumbo cord wearing knobheads.
