Be careful what you buy in the next few months. Windows 10 comes end of life in October. Upgrade to Windows 11 is free at the moment but gobbles memory. Retailers will be pushing old stock to shift them. Just in time for the new Uni,6 form terms starting!
I use a MacBook Pro, I would never go back to a windows based laptop. They are expensive, but very very reliable & durable, no issues with virus or crashing. Everyone in the office uses MacBook now, we have totally removed windows based laptops as an option
absolutely agree chelsea- my only gripe with the macbook is that after a few years apple (as usual) withdraws upgrades for future OS's. My long in the tooth unit is running on Big Sur which was superceeded in 2020 but ,touch wood, powers on and on.
TBH, the first time I got an iPhone, I hated it, but within a month, I was confused how to use my Mrs old Android phone. She’s got the MacBook Air, I still use Windows, but if I have to use hers, it feels Alien, but, if I had to use it permanently, I know it’d be a lot easier, just from the way things do flow when I get going on it. If that makes sense?
I only recently found out, went to do the upgrade on my old Vaio & it says it’s not compatible . Sad day for my old loyal friend.
For the last 5/6 years I've been using Linux for my OS - I've found it to be much better than Windows: it's full of free applications that cost money via Microsoft, easier on your hardware and best of all, no constant updating.
