    Every week the Sunday Mirror lists 2 or 3 young footballers to keep an eye on for the future.
    One of today’s picks was Alejandro Gomez Rodriguez.
    I wonder if he will make the grade, just a shame we couldn’t keep hold of him.

    Micky Channon, up there with MLT as the best player I have seen in a Saints shirt, not forgetting that he also had good stats and performances for England - 21 goals in 46 games.
    If asked to describe his style of play I would say he was his day’s equivalent to Thierry Henry, only better in the air.

    Just visited the official Saints website and they are running a video of 5 goals scored by Djenepo.
    When you remember the goal he scored in his second substitute appearance and the goal he scored in his first start, you have to ask “What the **** did the coaching team do to him, to turn him into the shambling, indecisive wreck of a player he became?”
