What sort of half @r$ed statement is that. We're a laughing stock anyway. Imagine what it will be like if Leicester block it. We've waited an age anyway, why not wait until the ink is dry. Or like many non-signing of players in the past, when we get a 3rd rate option,we'll get told, 'we'll we tried really hard.......'.
In fairness some news is better than none. And I guess B-M's Leicester job depends on what they do with Van Nistelroy. I'm surprised he hasn't gone yet. If B-M has a contract at Leicester then City have to either wait for Leicester to terminate it or negotiate his release. Nothing appears straight forward, does it?
So, we paid a compensation package to get him. I wonder how long it will be until RvN and all his backroom staff get sacked?

The lack of progress, in public anyway, is farcical. Are there ongoing issues with Leicester? Is there a conflict between City's contract offer to Barry Murphy and his or more likely his agent's demands? Could City (Tan) be offering a shorter term contract than BM is seeking on the basis of once bitten twice shy? Is there an issue with acquiring the backroom staff that BM requested and the possible removal of those already in place at the club? Practically another week has gone by since it emerged that BM was City's preferred choice and the silence remains deafening.
